FAQ

Frequently asked questions

If you have any other question, write to me directly.

What is a sworn translation?
It's a translation with full legal validity, signed and stamped by a translator authorized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. You need it to submit documents to public authorities, courts, consulates, foreign universities, or in immigration processes.
How much does it cost?
The price is set per document, not per word. You'll always receive a fixed quote with no surprises before committing. The official stamp is included in the price.
How long does it take?
Most documents are delivered within 24–48 hours. For longer projects, the timeline is agreed in the quote. If it's urgent, let me know when you send the document.
How do I receive the translation?
By email, in the format you need. If you'd prefer to pick up the physical copy with the original stamp, you can do so in person at Target Translations, Calle Santiago Bernabéu 4, Madrid.
Is an online sworn translation legally valid?
Yes. Since 2020, Spain's Ministry of Foreign Affairs recognises sworn translations signed with a qualified electronic signature. The digital copy you receive by email is fully valid before courts, consulates, universities and public bodies, in Spain and abroad.
What file formats do you accept?
PDF, Word (.doc/.docx), plain text, HTML, ODT and most common formats. If you have a different format, just check with me before sending.
Can I pay by bank transfer?
Yes, the translator will share her bank account number with you.
Are my documents safe?
Yes. All documents received are treated with strict confidentiality. If your company requires a formal agreement, that can be arranged without any issue.
